Deion and Pilar Sanders come to child custody agreement

The pending high profile divorce of a former football player turned NFL Network analyst and his wife made news because of his notoriety and athletic career. The divorce trial for Deion Sanders and his wife, Pilar, is set for March. However, a recent child custody agreement between the Texas based couple has their personal life and the lives of their children in the news ahead of the divorce pending proceedings.

The couple has three children, all under 12-years-old. Sanders and his wife each requested full custody of the children. According to news reports, the recent ruling regarding physical custody states that each parent will share custody alternating each week. However, Deion Sanders was given the right to decide where the children will primarily live.

As part of the shared child custody agreement, Deion Sanders will also have to pay the fees for the attorney hired to represent the children. Public news reports noted that assault allegations plagued the couple after an incident in April. However, neither spouse was found to have actually engaged in domestic violence.

For Texas couples who are well-known in the community, any issues of divorce or child custody may be made public in one way or another. Despite their fame or social status, the Sanders family has had to navigate the court system for their divorce and child custody issues, just as anyone else has to do. This particular child custody agreement pertains to the children's whereabouts before the official divorce. As with any Texas couple sharing children, that agreement may be altered or changed once the divorce becomes final.
